• Harpers Ferry + Big Cork Winery — Detailed Itinerary Overview
In the morning, our tour will begin with pick-ups at the designated Park & Ride locations. Depending on the day and the number of guests, transportation may be provided by a comfortable bus or minivan.
Once everyone is on board and checked in, we will begin our journey toward Harpers Ferry, located approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes away, depending on traffic.
During the ride, our tour director or driver-guide will share fascinating historical insights about the region you’re traveling through. You’ll learn about the significance of Harpers Ferry in American history, including its role in the Civil War era, and hear the compelling story of John Brown — a key figure whose actions here had a profound impact on the nation.
• Harpers Ferry – Free Time to Explore (90–120 minutes)
Upon arrival, your tour director will:

Share contact information,
Give clear instructions on timing and safety.
You will then enjoy approximately 90 to 120 minutes of free time to:
Wander the charming historic streets,
Capture scenic photos of the iconic landscape,
Visit small shops or cafés,
Admire the breathtaking views where the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers meet,
Explore notable landmarks at your own pace.

• Big Cork Vineyards – Wine Tasting Experience
After your visit in Harpers Ferry, we will reboard the bus and take a scenic 20-minute drive to one of Maryland’s most celebrated wineries: Big Cork Vineyards.
Here, you will enjoy a relaxing and flavorful experience, including:
A guided wine tasting featuring 6 wine samples,
A beautifully prepared charcuterie board (shared between two guests) to complement your tasting,
An engaging presentation about the winemaking process, grape varieties, and the vineyard’s unique approach,
Free time to stroll the property, take photos, enjoy the views, and—if you wish—purchase your favorite wines to take home.
Big Cork is known not only for its award-winning wines but also for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful open landscapes, making it a perfect way to unwind after exploring Harpers Ferry.
• Return Trip & Drop-Off
After the winery visit, we will board the bus again and begin our journey back.
Guests will be dropped off at the same Park & Ride locations in reverse order of pick-up.
Expect to return home with great photos, new memories, new knowledge about American history, and—most importantly—a wonderful mood.
